Take a look at www.mapsonus.com. You can create driving directions from a starting point to an ending point. Once you have these directions
in your browser run this script. It will create a route file which you can upload to your GPS unit, or overlay on an open map. You will need GPSy or GPSy
Pro and BBedit.

Automatic creation of a "blank" map for use with GPSy/GPSy PRO
If you every had a route or track you wanted to see without a map this is for you. It will automatically create a calibrated map based on the current real
time location (or your input). Then simply open it in GPSy/GPSy PRO and you are set. Create a series of these for different locations. Create them at any
scale.
